Neutral Nancy

Day Twelve: H&M blazer, JC Penney top, F21 jeans, UO boots

I noticed last night when I was looking at my 30for30 sidebar (Thanks, Kimmie!) that I have been wearing a lot of neutrals. Anyone who knows me, or is familiar with this blog, knows that this isn't really a new development. But, now that I'm taking pictures (almost) every day, I'm starting to realize just how much black/grey/navy/brown I own.

To spare all of you of another colorless day, I wore one of the two colorful tops in my pile of 30. Andddd paired it with black and black and denim. Baby steps.

Note to self, buy some more colorful shirts!

Or colorful scarves...or tights! I always laugh at myself-my closet is ALL neutrals and midtones. And then if you look in my scarf drawer, it's a riot of crazy color. Much easier for me to take that way--and now I've even bought some bright sweaters!

Love the pattern of the top!

Definitely baby steps. I used to only wear black and white shirts, mostly because my uniform at work required them.

PS. You have the prettiest hair. Seriously.

When you have fabulous red hair, you've got color built in! I used to wear all black all the time for work. When I'd wear color, people would be confused :D Baby steps is good. Like BiblioMOMia said, adding color in accessory can do the trick! Definitely more economical as well!

It's taken me a loooong time to break out of my neutral zone, too, but even still I come back to it frequently because neutrals are always chic. Can't go wrong! This printed top is extra fun, though :)

I think I could be convinced to do some pretty low things in exchange for a hair color like yours - so pretty!
