Snip, Snip

Featuring:
H&M dress, Old Navy cardigan, Bass Outlet tights, F21 oxfords, H&M belt

According to the Lucky magazine I was reading yesterday during my haircut, you should never wear more than 3 different colors in one outfit. Oops. But, since cream, brown, and grey are technically all neutrals, I think this outfit still passes the test. Besides, it's comfortable, cute, and involves my newest shoe obsession. Those are the only requirements I need!

So, I snipped a good two inches off my hair yesterday and I have to say, I feel SO MUCH BETTER. It was getting a bit long for my liking. To make a good situation better, I only paid...

...wait for it...

EIGHT DOLLARS. No, I'm not hallucinating. I actually paid $8 for a wash, cut, and blow dry. My secret is this: beauty school students.

You see, before they can graduate, the students have to log a total of 1000 hours in the on-site salon. They offer every sort of spa service imaginable at APPALLINGLY low prices. Plus, since I'm a student, I get an extra discount. Thus, my insanely cheap haircut.

So, if you're looking for the most meticulous haircut of your life for literally the price of a sandwich, find your local school of spa technology!

I don't believe what Lucky magazine has to say! I definitely wear more than three colors in one outfit all of the time. I love those oxfords! Very cute. xoxo

I stopped reading Lucky because it was causing me to spend $$. Now they out a limit to the number of colors in your outfit? The horror!

I went to a Hair Training Salon for years, but stopped when an instructor hacked off my hair. The student stylist did an awesome job, but it's like the instructor has to look for things to fix. If my hairstylist ever moved away, I would consider going back. It's been long enough.

I get my hair cut and colored at bumble and bumble in the city with their model project - the best part is that its TOTALLY FREE. you're not even ALLOWED to tip the stylists. Granted, you do have to get the haircuts they are teaching, but I'm okay with that for free!

Oh I just LOVEEEE beauty schools. There was one that I used to go to all the time that was super cheap and awesome (well, depending on who you got) so I'd always go get my highlights and cuts there. I loved it because they always had to get instructor approval for everything so you were in good hands. Now, it's just too far to drive all the way up there when time is so precious. I'd rather spend an extra $20 and go somewhere closer.

I won a $200 gift certificate to a salon downtown and have been getting my hair cuts there, which is awesome. I was debating on spending it all in one go, but decided to just slowly use it. :)

OH, Lucky shmucky. Three colors, really? And yeah your neutrals count together as one. I have no authority to say any of this but that's what blog comments are for, right?!

Also big yay for your cheap new 'do :)

Your hair looks really good! I'm always paranoid about where I get a serious hair cut, so I probably spend way too much. I'll have to keep the beauty schools in mind for sure.

And I'm confused about colors now, I read the other day that you should have AT LEAST 3 colors in an outfit, so does this mean we can only wear 3? I think we'll all just have to rebel.
